Governance

This document describes how the Infoconex AI Flywheel Specification is governed.

Specification Authority

Infoconex is the specification authority for the Infoconex AI Flywheel Specification.

Infoconex retains authority to define, publish, revise, interpret, approve, and withdraw versions of the specification and its conformance requirements.

No fork, derivative document, proposal, issue, pull request, implementation, article, or external discussion changes the official specification unless Infoconex accepts the change into the official repository or another official publication channel.

Official Sources

The official specification is published by Infoconex through this repository and any other official publication channels identified by Infoconex.

Unofficial copies, mirrors, forks, summaries, translations, excerpts, or derivative materials are not authoritative.

Versioning

Specification versions identify the maturity and content of the methodology.

Pre-v1.0 versions are drafts and may change as terminology, conformance guidance, examples, implementation experience, and research evolve.

A repository release, website deployment, or reference implementation version is separate from the specification version unless Infoconex explicitly identifies it as a specification version.

Change Process

Specification changes may originate from Infoconex, implementation experience, research, issues, pull requests, or external feedback.

Infoconex may accept, revise, defer, or reject any proposed change.

Accepted changes become part of the official specification only when incorporated into an official specification document by Infoconex.

Interpretation

Infoconex may publish clarifications, errata, examples, or guidance explaining how the specification should be interpreted.

Interpretive guidance does not replace the specification unless Infoconex incorporates it into the official specification text.

Conformance

Conformance is determined by the requirements published in the Infoconex AI Flywheel Specification and any applicable conformance policy published by Infoconex.

An implementation may not claim official, approved, certified, or conforming status unless it satisfies the published conformance requirements and uses the specification name in accordance with the license and trademark policy.

Infoconex may revise conformance requirements as the specification evolves.

Research and Examples

Research and examples support understanding of the specification but do not define the specification unless incorporated into official specification documents.

Research findings may change as new evidence or primary sources are reviewed.

Examples are illustrative and do not create additional requirements unless the specification explicitly says so.

Deprecation and Withdrawal

Infoconex may deprecate, replace, or withdraw draft language, examples, guidance, conformance criteria, or specification versions.

Deprecated or withdrawn material should not be treated as current authority unless Infoconex says otherwise.

If there is a conflict between this document and the license, the license controls rights and permissions.
